The monitor displays the cars bumper and a great deal of the area behind the car. Advanced image processing makes the image as true to life as possible. A mark at the reference lines indicates the cars approximate distance to objects behind the car. The towbar is visible on the monitor and the system is an aid when reversing toward a trailer. The system is activated when reverse gear is engaged- and is deactivated when the car is driven forward or by disengaging reverse gear.
